With 8 more arrests for virus fight, total goes to 10Â

Thetotal number of persons arrested in the group fight atMariabandh-Calconda over the dispute on furnishing Coronavirusinformation to 104 number rose to eight.

Whilethe two minor boys accused in the case have been sent to the ApnaGhar, the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao, hasremanded all the eight persons, including Fazal Shaikh, to two dayspolice custody. Fazal had complained that he was assaulted by a rivalgroup.

Margaopolice station in-charge, PI Sachin Narvekar, informed that there’sno truth in the claim made by Fazal Shaikh that someone had leakedhis identity for providing information to the 104 COVID-19 number onthe coronavirus suspect. 

Hesaid that the accused himself had confessed to the other group thathe had contacted the 104 COVID-19, which resulted in a free for allfight amongst both the groups.
